Doing Good

Where I live, most of the hospitals are St. Something or St. Others.  Why is this? What about the social service agencies.  They are either state run or run by the church. Why are there no secular-based, non-state helping organizations?

Because we are hidden and not organized! There is no money-collecting, people-organizing, ideology-spreading place or group giving us voice and the power to do things collectively.

Is there a current model for changing that?
Are there any good websites you can refer me to for this issue?
What are the solutions?

  1. I don't know. My daughter and I do Meals on Wheels, and I was thrown for a loop when someone asked me what church I worked with. We're just a couple of freelance agnostics trying to do our part. ;-)
